The worlds largest collection of Action Sports known as the X Games made its way to California last week and Positiv Skateboards' Andy Macdonald and Sandro Dias were there. In the Big Air on Thursday, Andy finished in a very respectable 6th place. On Friday, Andy competed in the Big Air Rail Jam final and came up with a nice 5th for his birthday. Come Saturday, it was time for Park prelims and the Vert Finals. Andy first took his turn in the park and qualified for the finals in the #3 spot. A few hours later, both Andy and Sandro competed in the vert finals. Unfortunately Sandro was victim to some questionable scoring and ended up in 8th. Andy came up with some super strong runs and was rewarded with the Bronze medal. As Sunday rolled around, Andy readied himself for the Park finals. He skated super strong and took home the silver.
In addition to competing, Andy and Sandro also spent some time with the great folks over at the Jimmy V Foundation to help raise funds to fight cancer. They also made there way over to the red carpet for the X Games 3D movie. It was a busy busy weekend to say the least.
Positiv Skateboards was also the board sponsor of the Next X ramp and Warheads Street Course. Anyone wanting to skate the ramp or course was able to ride the Andy or Sandro Metallic Series boards.
